Funky's Stamp of Approval for Clover's Pen Style Needle Felting Tool - a great little needle felting tool for adults and kids of all skill levels!

Ordinarily I use one felting needle at a time when needle felting small items. I just hold the needle in my fingers without any casing or needle felting tool. I still do this for most detail work and find that it works just fine. Recently I came across a forum post that recommended trying Clover's new felting pen for detail work and surface design. I'm very frugal when it comes to buying fiber supplies so I don't just jump at buying the latest gadget, but this new felting pen looked intriguing to me. Maybe I just liked the cute pink color and fact that it was very compact, but I ended up splurging a bit and buying one for myself to use.

I always like getting something new in the package. I'm one of those people that reads the package print a couple of times before actually opening the package. So I read my new little felting pen's instructions, then I opened it up and gave it a whorl. After needle felting for just a few minutes, I broke one of its three needles so this discouraged me a bit, and I put it away for a while. Finally, I replaced the broken needle , which was super easy to do, and once again gave it a try. (By the way, you can use the pen tool with one, two, or all three needles so it is highly adaptable too.) I have found it to be a very useful needle felting tool and comfortable to handle. Its pen shape fits easily in the hand and makes needle felting small objects and surfaces simple. I also like the fact that it has a nice see-through cap to cover the sharp needles when not in use. Due to its ease of handling and safety features, I think it would be a good choice for beginners and young adults who are learning to needle felt. Although, you still have to be very cautious with this tool, as when using any needle felting needles.

If you are in the mood for an new, relatively inexpensive needle felting tool, give Clover's pen style needle felting tool a try. I bought mine at a local Hobby Lobby store, but you can find them readily available on the internet too. Happy needle felting!

**I, the funky felter, am not affiliated with Clover nor do I take responsibility for the performance of their needle felting pen, although I do think it is a nifty little tool.
